It was a lovely Easter Mass today. The choir was in full form. Families gathered to give praise to God for the Resurrection Day. I heard many an encouraging word. My heart leap with joy as I sang the truth I know of the streams of Living Water which are promised to flow endlessly. But I as well know that this can only be if we are open to receive and with our whole hearts truly believe.
But how can we if one minute we sing of such promised joy and then the next recite words saying that we are not worthy to receive. Then go on to proclaim not life but death, waiting for someday that he will l come again. All the while we are postponing the joy that is available to us now because we have not opened our hearts to the Spirit of Truth, His gift to the world, His Living Word, the very Living Waters which is waiting for each as each so deeply desires and seeks. This is the true grace and joy of the resurrection my dear brothers and sisters, that Christ is indeed alive in our hearts and awaiting our presence with him within. ~ Deb
