“Listen” and “silent” in English are different combinations of the same letters which make, as thus, two completely different words. And yet there is a silent correlation for to truly listen one has to be quiet, not only by keeping their mouth shut but as well by keeping their mind and heart open.
True listening is hearing what another has to say without allowing words of judgment from one’s own ego to come into play. Silence is the golden key to hearing another speak, whether they sit across the room from you or are out of view from whatever view of life you happen to see.
