“It is easier for a camel to slip through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” Why is this so? Because the rich man is so “full of self” that he has not room for God. Only one who seeks, finds. And one who has spent their life in the business of acquiring material riches upon riches is not the likely sort to spend energy and time seeking the Peace of God. This is not to be taken as a statement against having and enjoying material abundance, for God delights in our enjoying the gifts available to all in this world as He wishes to shower each one of us with a multitude of blessings, spiritual and material. He has provided a Way for this to manifest while we are on Earth. Jesus told us this Way: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all good things will be added unto thee.” Excerpt from: Listen Hear, A Divine Love Story by Debra Clemente |
